Preparing for periodic reviews

Bit of a shock when Pak asked if I wanted to complete the induction review form in Week 6. I'm part-time, so it should be in week 12 - deadline is 16th December. It's good to know that this is all laid out in writing, but I do feel that the department is playing catch up and that things don't run to timetable. Same goes for the respective research groups - chaotic and last-minute with multiple duplicated reminders rather than a simple, straight-forward on-line timetable at the start of term.

Pak sugested this for discourse analysis:

Audie Klotz and Deepa Prakash (eds), Qualitative Methods in International Relations: A Pluralist Guide. Palgrave Macmillan, 2009.

I'll need to look at Fairclough's new book, though. It is probably more in-depth.

Right. 10.00 and I still haven't started reading, despite intention to be 'inspired' by 9.
