China Taiwan Journals

There are more and more top PolIR disciplinary journals with articles on Taiwan. The China Quarterly, edited at SOAS and The China Journal, from the Australian National University are the gold standard for China Studies. The Journal of Contemporary China is published in North America. All three publish theoretical and policy research, research notes and book reviews in the humanities and social sciences, but the content of all three is dominated by PolIR. Issues and Studies is a social sciences quarterly on China, Taiwan and East Asian Affairs and is published by the Institute of International Relations at National Chengchi University in Taiwan.

There seems to be little cross-fertilization between English and Chinese-language journals and most scholars with a strong manuscript would want to publish in one of the journals listed above.
